The Mount Roberts Mining project is located 9 km northwest of Leinster and 19 km north-east of the 3.8 Moz Agnew Gold Mine (Gold Fields Ltd).
The project lies within the Agnew-Wiluna Greenstone belt, which is host to several major gold deposits including the Agnew Gold Mine, Lawlers and Vivien, within or near the Agnew Gold Camp. Gold mineralisation occurs on the sheared contact between the ultramafic and mafic units. It forms a west dipping lens associated stacked quartz veining. Mineralisation has been intersected in recent RC drilling along a 250m strike length but remains open to the north, south and at depth. Significant intercepts include
- 3m @ 28 g/t Au, including
- 1m @ 67.4 g/t Au
- 1m @ 20.3 g/t Au
- 1m @ 24.4 g/t Au, and
- 4m @ 7.96 g/t Au, including
- 2m @ 13.75 g/t Au
The Company has an approved plan or work (POW) with 7000m RC resource and exploration drilling scheduled to commence in 2018. Recent RC drilling in September 2017 has defined new areas of mineralisation previously undiscovered at Mt Roberts. The Company will expand operations at the project in 2018.
